Played the L/L twice. Scored my First EAGLE on hole 8 with a 300'+ Drive and a 50' putt.

The Mighty Gaw will be in the ground for 3-4 more weeks, before they switch to the Winter layout.

There are 2 sets of tees-

S/L Par 57

L/L Par 70

Hole 18 is the 1200' shot for both layouts.

I'm heading there tomorrow again etc.

Heading to the Gaw this afternoon.

New holes + tee's to play. The Mighty layout is in.

New Jersey Alpine Golf is incredible.

The 1200' Monster Hole 18.

Who's playing The Mighty Gaw? May 3

The Hot Topic with Camp Gaw is CEMENT TEE PADS-We have approval from the county-We are trying to coordinate our efforts to come up with the best plan. Right now we think 2 precast slabs of 2' X 2' and one 2' X 6" for 4' X 12' Tee Pads is the way to go. We would frame the slabs inside the tee box's that already exist. Steve Wanderling has already made a prototype slab-with more to follow-Scoward wants to install it ASAP on hole 6 to see how the experiment will work. We could have a few cement tee's for the Mighty Gaw on May 2.

Check out this video from Seneca Creek in Maryland. We are very impressed with how they made their cement teepads.

Maybe precast slabs is the way to convince the town of Ravena to let us install Cement Tee's at J-Park.

Good idea, great video too, ended up watching the whole thing. Check out Schweberger's shortened run-up on the tight woods holes for accuracy.

Played Camp Gaw today. I was -5 going into hole 9. I ripped a drive straight down the fairway. 20' from the Pin. When I got to my Disc I noticed something missing-hole 9's basket. How would you score this hole?

I posted on the Skylands forum. Turns out the basket has been stolen-they've been having a problem with Atv's and dirt bikers illegally riding the trails. Scoward contacted the parks department-they are filing a police report. Hope they get caught. If they stole 1 they could steal more.

I wasn't really -5-luckily.
