I played FDR yesterday after Kisco. Anything after the Hyzer OB Hell, is a welcome treat to this Discer.

The first 2 holes are the same. Hole 4 is now 3, and hole 5 is now 4. The new hole 5 plays about 300' downhill. On the right of the fairway is a huge mound, on the other side is a BIG hole. I landed in the hole, and had a decent look at the pin.

Hole 6 is a righty hyzer shot, that is very birdyable. Cool fairway with a tree line on the left.

Hole 7 is another long 300'+ on a gradual downhill. The downed tree by basket 7 is the largest Dead Tree I have ever seen. It reminds me of a giant Elephant/Octopuss/Dinosaur/Alien creature. You feel like a dwarf next to this Monstrosity (A Greg Kurtz favorite word). Hole 8 is the old 7. Hole 9 plays from old 8's tee to 9's basket. The intense back nine is the same.

I think FDR has become a Great course with the Upgrades.

Can't wait to go back.

Hole 3 is only a memory. Now we walk the little fairway to get to hole 3. Old 4.

Played FDR again. New holes are great. Rubber pads are being installed. Underrated course.

Road Trip-FDR/Mt Kisco. 56' tomorrow. Gotta head south after the Ice storms. Wonder how Woody handled it?

In 2009-

First Nefa points event at Kisco.

First PDGA tourney at FDR.

nice course, back nine needs a little variety but overall nice. thanks zip for helping find the first tee via cell phone. FDR was not 17 miles from Beacon or at least it didn't feel like a 17 mile drive. forgot how much fun driving on the Taconic was.

played fdr last weekend, hat's off to bill, the course is really improved, rubber tee pads on most holes and a couple of new shots in the re=design make the whole experience top notch, excellent changes, the down hill hole with the lake behind it is a classic, thanks again to the local club there for all the hard work, if you haven't seen it lately put it on the list, well worth the trip.

If my day goes smoothly tomorrow, I'll play FDR in the afternoon. Can't find a course map anywhere. Hopefully the nice weather will bring out some locals.

It's pretty easy to navigate...... onlly the walk from 9 to 10 is a bit tricky. Go left from basket 9 across the street and you'll find tee 10 on the hill between the pavilion and the soccer fields.
