Nice course! Had a lot of fun. Jeff's pic does not do justice to how pretty Hole 10 is. Uphill through the double row of huge pines. Good mix of woods and open shots. Only used the bottom part of the ski area so there is no hard hiking uphill. Scorecards at the check in counter, Par 59, 5 par 4's, I shot a 58 to keep my tag
Much less of a grunt than Hunter or Campgaw. Less than an hour from Albany. Well worth the $6. Lots of other things going on.
huge thanks to Jeff Wilson and Carl , who've done a ton of work to make this happen. They gave us a guided tour.
Saw other groups out there hacking away. Brand new, so the tee boxes aren't finished.
Great to have another golf option in the area!!

Re: Bousquet Ski Area, Pittsfield MA
played here today I definitely enjoyed the hole setup. This course had alot of mix shots so it didn't benefit right back hand throwers like me so much as some other ones. The main downside to me was I had a difficult time of reading the map to determine exactly where the baskets were. It was interesting that they had a free petting zoo in the middle of a hole which made it unique. All in all I really enjoyed playing here and can't wait to play here in September.

Re: Bousquet Ski Area, Pittsfield MA
Just spoke with Jeff Wilson from Bousquet, he will be doing maintenance on the course this year so it will be a lot more playable than previous years. They are also going to make hole 7's tee more safe, just in case you get a newb with a brand new overstable 14 speed disc in the group behind you.
Looks like Kirvin Park will also have a 9 hole course in VERY SOON. The Berkshire Eagle reports that it's already installed, and I've seen people out there with discs... I haven't seen any baskets, but I'll be out there in the next week or two to take a look.
From the Berkshire Eagle:
"• Bousquet Mountain: 101 Dan Fox Drive, Pittsfield. Bousquet's 18-hole disc golf course starts behind the base lodge and takes you to the western extent of the ski trails and about halfway up the mountain to some of the best views in the Berkshires, including Mt. Greylock and Vermont to the north and Brodie Mountain to the west. Cost: $6 Day Pass (Includes Rental Disc); $50 Season Pass available. For more information, visit www.bousquets.com/summer/disc-golf-in-the-berkshires/.
• Kirvin Park: Williams Street, Pittsfield. This 9-hole course is open to the public, along with 227 acres of recreational space for residents.
• Stonykill Disc Golf Course: Route 295, Chatham, N.Y. (located behind the Chatham Town Hall). The a 9-hole course is just minutes off the Taconic State Parkway. The current layout consists of short holes with tightly defined fairways, making it beginner friendly when it comes to distance off the tee, but still fun and challenging for experienced players."
