I've been seriously considering pulling the trigger on a traveler, If I do end up doing so I would definitely bring it along. I'll let you know.

I reccomend a sport over a traveller if you can. Spend the extra $$. It can stay outside and unless you really want to sling it over your shoulder as you play it's much better.

I agree with Kenji. Much of what you're paying for with the traveler is it's portability. It's designed to collapse easily and be carried far. If you plan on carrying it A LOT, then it might be right for you. Otherwise, one of the more fixed/robust baskets will probably serve you better as a practice target. Overall...I would also suggest Innova's Discatcher Sport. I could go into the advantages/disadvantages of each model, but this probably isn't the most appropriate thread. I would definitely suggest trying a few different types before pulling the trigger too.

I agree with Kenji, but if you want the portability of the Traveler and the disc catching ability of the Sport, you could get a DGA Mach-Lite. It's what I use and I set up a lot of temp courses.

So if anyone is up to bringing a Discatcher Sport, M-14 or a Mach-Lite, I find they are more fun to play on then the Traveler. Extra baskets won't hurt. We could probably have at least 11 temporary holes set up in and around the gravel pit, if not more.

I don't want to clutter this thread, but I'm mainly looking for something portable that I can throw in my trunk. Not really for practice I guess as much it just just having a target. I will certainly look into all the options though, thanks for the input doods

I'll have to test some of these out, but the mach lite seems like what I'm looking for. A little bit more but the quality seems a little better. Am I getting that right?

I've thrown on just about every type of basket. That said, lots of baskets are great but if you want a great portable basket go with the Mach-Lite. It will teach you to hit center chains... wherever you go. Only slightly heavier than the Traveler but it folds up and carries better IMO. Get one and get your practice in!

i'd sell my old mach lite for $50 if anyone wants it. it's sun faded and the base could use some tightening (2nd base i've been through on the darn thing. hope they improved them since). let me know if you'd like to come check it out.
