Round one was the Super Tim show and 3 other guys fighting over the #10 tag........ in the end, a clutch birdie on 18 from me left the 10 tag with Zip(630 and 5 with me(63). Tim snatches the #1 from Greg with a 55 to Greg's 62.......... couldn't stay for round 2, waiting for word on results.

Kenji, Gene & Pete were on the second card and Kenji won easily with a 72....... Gene shot 88 and Pete "enjoyed" his first trip to Hyzer with a 95.

Hyzer is in great shape. Beautiful day, bugs not an issue
i carried the weed whip for the first round and the ferns are not bad....
Tim ran out of food before the second round. and collapsed, score wise.
Nice shooting in Joisey by our local buuddies!

It was a very pleasant day. Good conditions
Greg, Jzip, Mike G, Rick G and Tim J put tags
1,2,4,10, and 24 on the line
After 18 rick shot 55 greg 56 tim 57 mile g 64 and Zip 64
We decided to shoot the front 9 again and by birdying 1,2,3, I was able
to beat Tim by a stroke and Rick by 2 strokes. Mike held off Zip by a stroke so...
Greg is #1 was #1
Tim is #2 was #10
rICK IS #4 WAS #24
Mike is #10 was #4
JZip is #24 was #2
Had a lot of fun, very few mosquitos, plenty of deerflies.

What sucks is i cant post 9-hole scores for an 18-hole course so for the second "round" i can post......
Greg gets a -3, Tim a -2 and Rick a -1. Mike G shoots even and Zip +1

Good for all?

The battles were fought today. Thanks to greg ,tim and zip for the great day of golf and driving up to hyzer.Rick and greg had a solid tussle for the #1 tag before tim snuckup from behind to snag the 2.in the meantime zip and I had moments of greatness followed by moments of weakness. In all a great day..more people more fun

Shot a 64 at Hyzer yesterday, Big-arm Will shot a 59.

Round ratings 923 for me and 967 for Will based on April Showers data.

I think if I started playing in tournaments I could shed this 881 rating I've had since 2003.

I'm looking for some Hyzer action on Monday or Tuesday, I have them off. :) Call me if you're interested.
I have an American dream but it involves black masks and gasoline.

Thanks to whoever dropped a copy of the October 10 Times Union through the mail slot at Hyzer yesterday. Nice article about J Park and Kevin.

Tee time Monday

Post by Ven » Fri Oct 23, 2009 1:51 pm

I am a newbie to disc golf with baskets. I can play Hyzer Creek on Monday from like 11 to 4 or even later. I need a place to work on my computer for an hour or three out of those hours. Is there a club house I can do that at (unlikely)? If not I'll find a nearby library or diner. Any suggestions?

I'll print the map, but will I be able to find the holes by myself, or should I find someone else to play with?

On the web site it says there's a fee but not how much $ for how many holes? I may be interested in sponsoring...

Only a porch outside the cabin............ there's a bar/pizza joint on rte 29 that's quiet and close to the course..... cant remember the name.

Course is pretty easy to negotiate with a map and the signs....... the fee is an honor system, drop $5 in an envelope(look in the drawers on the porch) and you're good to go. There should be maps and scorecards there too.

I won't be able to try Hyzer Creek today. The job I got in Clifton Park has lasted a lot longer than expected. Hopefully I'll get there soon!
