Hole 12
From now on, I will mow 12 the day before tournies, to encourage rollers. That said, the creek will not be OB. No point penalizing a really long awesome roller shot with OB, especially since you can't aim around the creek and can't go OVER the creek with a roller.
So, no OB on 12. Why should there be?

Not sure I can get my roller down fast enough. Thinking it will flip to far.
Plus watching discs fly past the 500 rock is way cooler.

Ob on 12 makes you decide about that 2nd shot. Most golfers have no chance of reaching the water on a drive. Keep the OB water.

Re: Hole 12
I've seen top level golfers roll 700 feet, and routinely choose roller shots to get the maximum D. I know people who can only throw 500 foot air shots that can throw 700 foot rollers. In most parts of the country people throw lots of rollers, people with a good roller can throw way farther than their air shots, Ron Russel did a 700 foot roller on hole 17 Warwick blue to blue, took a 3 for the eagle. Brinster rolls 18 at Warwick all the time. People like Joe Mela throw mostly rollers, Joe is one of the top golfers in the world and wins tournaments, and half his shots are rollers. Ken Climo throws tons of rollers.
Almost nobody in discap throws rollers because there aren't a lot of roller holes in the area. Now there is.

Re: Hole 12
Until now there was no way to mow 12 close enough for rollers, all the rocks popping up every year and leaving holes when I pull them, and weeds growing in the holes, hills and valleys, but finally after so many years the rocks have stopped popping up and the turf has settled in and I can get the grass short so I can make it into a smooth lawn if I mow often enough. I think. It takes me about 7 or 8 beers to mow the whole thing, but I like beer.

You dont have to tell me about rollers. I'm probably the player in DisCap land that uses them the most. You cant roll across water or those huge rocks at the bridge so the roller suggestion is a little lost to me on hole 12.

From the tee pad kenji. Talking about rolling from the tee pad, and not penalizing people if they reach the creek.
