Played hyzer today it's buried under at least three feet of snow.It was not fun. Tee pads are non existant. The baskets all have snow up to the bottom of them.I will amazed if it thaws out by the 19th.

Hi Mike. I'm on my lap top using the Galway library wifi, staying in the cabin this week. Hyzer has only 2 feet of snow. So let's forget about all that 3 feet nonsense. Only 2 feet. OK?

Either way, that's alot of snow to melt by the April Showers tourney. And it's been cold, which doesn't help the snow go away. Let's hope for the best.

There is never any mud at Hyzer Creek. It's all forest groundcover 1 foot thick.

Lets try and promote this tournament not trash it and scare people away. All the snow will be gone by April 19. Spread the word.

morgan you gonna be there wednesday? If so i'll stop up.Anyway not trying to scare people away from the best tourny in saratoga county. But we should let people know so they can bring the right kind of gear with them. I was hoping it all melts before the 19th so i could go and do a little spring clean up.Hey whatta you think about a pro pad on hole 2 behind the other pad on the other side of the creek?

The 2 feet of snow I saw on Sunday is now only 10 inches deep. Lots of melting today. Even if the temp is only 40 like today the sun is very hot and melts snow in the open. As for in the shade, that's a different story.

Jeff don't bring any snow melting stuff. On April 19 it will all be gone.

Working all day wednesday Mike.

Hyzer Creek is a wooded course. There's not much that's out in the open.

Dwayne, how would you know? you've played there once, on your second day ever.

Morgan basically lives there, if he says it will all melt, we should all believe him.

And, why is everyone moaning about some snow on the course anyway? We've played all winter, with snow, freezing rain, Ice Bowls, etc and a batch of snow under a bush is gonna scare off players? Here's an idea, read the stamp on your ice bowl disc.

No one's complaining about having to play in snow, Walker. It's not playing in the snow that's the issue. It's letting people know if they should expect there to be snow. No one wants to be unprepared is all.

Also, playing regularly at a course doesn't give someone the ability of knowing how quickly snow will melt. Unless, however, that person has studied the properties of groundwater and performed perculation tests in that area to determine how permeable the soil is. (No offense to Morgan. Just making a point.)
