in case anyone wants to keep track of where the bees are...
4 people, 2 stung today.

1) middle of fairway on 16
2) ~30 feet down from 17 basket in some brush (didnt see a nest)

bees are in a bad mood in september i guess

Guess they were on vacation yesterday. I was in the brush pile 30' left of 17 and didn't see them.

If you see a nest please eliminate it. Do it for disc golf. I killed a nest on hole 1 last week.

I also saw some yellowjackets flying in and out of a hole in the ground on hole 5. It's less than 200 feet from the tee, going up that hill, center-left on the fairway.

so i read this... it didnt stick... played yesterday and my buddy got stung on the finger! at the location you describe ha

OK I'll see what I can do about eliminating these wasp nests. Besides the wasps (yellow jackets) there are paper wasps, I found a nest of them on 1 and killed it with spray.

There are no bees, they are wasps. Common mistake, honey bees don't live up here. Rednecks call them bees, or sometimes "ground bees," but rednecks always use the wrong word for everything. Vespus vulgara, common wasp. Yellow jacket.
