Fairway adoption

Post by Morgan » Tue Jul 07, 2009 2:35 pm

The following fairways are looking pretty bad.

Hole 4. Was adopted 2 years ago by the Cox family but this years its overgrown. Are the Coxes still in the area? Do we need a new adopter?

Hole 10. Getting overgrown down near the tee pad, luckily people can throw over that part.

The usual bad one is hole 8 but it looks like the Baldwin Research crew are doing a great job! Thanks that's a tough hole.

The rest of the holes are looking great. The only hole that still needs to be adopted is 14.

Speaking of 14, we recently saw a huge rotten stump smashed out, we thought maybe a bear did it. Does anybody know how that happened? I hope it's not bears. Or maybe somebody hit that stump and got mad at it. Good work!

Thanks to Craig and Dean Rocchio for adoptiong hole 5 and promising to make a tee pad barrier so people on 5 dont get hit by discs coming up from 4.

Will Mehls switched from 5 to 6, now hole 5 is spoken for.

Thanks to everybody who adopted holes!!!!!

Need a new person to adopt hole 10.

The guy who adopted it is fired, he is not maintaining it at all, same this year as last. Bob Goodwin and I are sick of doing it for him, it's almost unplayable. I refuse to maintain holes that I did not adopt and if one hole turns back into woods it becomes a 17 hole course, simple as that.

It only requires whacking once or twice a year, who wants to step up and do something for disc golf?

I'll adopt hole 10 Morgan. Me and a few others worked on that tee I might as well take the whole hole.

Hole 12 is a beautiful thing. When will be start playing with cement blocks?
Creating foundations for the blocks could be challenging
Kenji the Man takin' on Hole 10 Nice
I weedwhacked up the fairway on Sat, It could use a real weedwhacker machine

I probably won't be able to make it up there for a couple of weeks. But i'll get my weedwacker all tuned up and bring tools to clean it up soon.

Hole 8 needs adopted. The guy who adopted it seems to have left the area. Looking like a jungle over there. Who wants to step up and get his or her name in lights?

Somebody needs to adopt hole 8 it looks like shizzle.

If it gets any worse I'll close that hole off and it will be a 17 hole course for the Battle.

Anyone free to play July, 4th at Hyzer Creek? I'm new to the area and Im dying to try out New York's disc golf courses..
Also, I was interested in camping out there afterwards, has anyone done this or has any tips for me?

$5 donation, camping included. Morgan owns the place and will show you around if he's available.
